1. Using Poser Pro, create a scene of a figure walking or running in place. For example, create a 30 frame animation of the default figure walking in place. Save the scene as: aligntopath.pz3

2. Launch LW 5.X/6.X. Turn off Auto Key.

3. File to Scene. Load the .pz3 file.

4. Select the Poser Scene null object and delete the last keyframe (at frame 29)

5. Select Figure 1 and delete the last keyframe (at frame 29)

6. At Frame 0, select the Poser Scene null object and rotate the heading of the null to 180 degrees. (Hit enter to keyframe)

7. Select Figure 1 and rotate the heading to -180 degrees. (Hit enter to keyframe)

8. Select the Poser Scene null object, hit m (Motion Options) and click on the Controllers and Limits tab. Set the Heading and Pitch to 'Align to Path'

9. With the Poser Scene null object still selected, move and keyframe the null at 0 frame to create the beginning of the path.

10. Move and keyframe the Poser Scene null object to create the rest of the path.

The Poser figure will properly align to the path that you create in LightWave.
